Tufted Parlor Chairs

These pretty things needed a good deal of TLC. There were two broken front feet and missing castors, and the back had a lot of dry rot where the upholstery is attached to the frame. After a little research I was able to repair the dry rot, and a visit to Portland Architectural Salvage turned up the missing castors. Tufting requires some math which thankfully doesn’t frighten me. The client was very pleased with the outcome, and I was grateful she trusted me with her beautiful old chairs.
